weskeagSilmaril makes this journal thing look so easy, I thought I'd try.
For those of you who are joining this mid-stream, I drove out to Houston last week looking for fame and fortune. Mostly fortune, as no one in DC has yet seen fit to actually hire me for anything that pays, but I wouldn't turn down a bit of fame, too.
On Friday, I got approved for full-time work on the Enormous Translation Project.
So I've been busy trying to get my life organized, finding an apartment or roommate situation that won't cost me $700 just to have my two cats with me (that was an actual quote from one apartment manager) through the winter...
And Clear Lake is reasonably nice.
