PDF to Word

I've got one PDF-to-Word package that gets the Croatian characters (šđžčć) mostly right, but puts everything in cute little frames (the ones it doesn't get right, it at least uses unique punctuation characters for), and another PDF-to-Word package that doesn't use the cute little frames, but transliterates all of the "special" characters with a uniform space...

Does anyone know how to automagically delete frames in Word while leaving the frame contents intact? Paging through this thing and doing Cut&Paste 500 times doesn't feel particularly efficient...
