A long websurfing session led me to the following meandering page on microships, but really about life, technology, and electronic gadgets.

Or, rather, to the google cache for the page, as the author spawns so many subsidiary windows (so the user can immediately follow links to everything that the author thought of while writing) that my browser simply refuses to open the actual page ("too many redirects").

a pretty little amphibian pedal/solar/sail micro-trimaran that can fold up for road mode and be dragged a few miles behind my harnessed body, just big enough to support years of open-ended wandering with frequent re-supply stops ... technomadic flotilla ... datawake

Way cool!

Hello! I thought of you the other day when I saw there'll be an embassy series concert of Ukranian music coming up in May (?) -- $75, so I'll probably give it a pass, but I did think of you. Hugs!

Hi back atcha!!

The recording I have of the song is by Owain Phyte and the New World Renaissance Band...which, it turns out, has a lot of connections to Houston.

Cool, yes, but for me at least, the techno-nomad thing might get old after a while...

I'll let some of my Ujrainian friends/colleagues know--maybe it's a group on tour or they might happen to be in DC.
